The Peñasquito mine uses the word "local content" for all purchases and contracts it has with companies registered and operating in the state of Zacatecas.

Within the Peñasquito supply chain there is a unit called "Local Content Superintendence" in charge of customizing some of the business processes of the supply chain to the conditions and experience of Zacatecan companies.
